Challenge
- Redesign the unit to allow for substitution of custom components (requiring costly tooling) with standard parts readily available on the market
- Further simplify the design by replacing costly tubes with fabricated metal channels
Results
- Fully preserved the intended functionality and appearance
- Cost of the system was reduced to $250 and met Beam’s advertising cost target
